As created this is all a bit of a time-warp. It is neither a comprehensive list of all closes that existed nor a list of all that now exist (many have been recreated in new developments. What it is is a list of closes as existed 1950 to 1970. It deserves to be updated to have any meaning plus could usefully distinguish public from private, dead-ends from through routes, and those which are 100% sealed and just exist as a sign on the wall.
